leighblack: (Smile in Your Eyes)

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] queenwench!!!

leighblack: (For a Reason)
I'm sitting here at my desk, listening to the boot CD I downloaded from Kristin Chenoweth's last performance as G(a)linda in Wicked to pass the time as I'm filing. Well, and to drown out my noisy neighbors. And it's all I can do not to start crying during "For Good," listening to Idina & Kristin sing while they're trying not to cry. In fact, it's all I can do not to cry during several spots. I wasn't there! I've never even seen the show!! Yet, here I am, tearing up like a 2-yr-old. Someone help me...

My copy of [livejournal.com profile] cyberwuzzle's book Raven's Quest FINALLY showed up. My Van Helsing calendar also came in. And Ms. [livejournal.com profile] terkey, I have sitting here next to me, my very own copy of Long Way Round. Jealous?? ;) I also nearly went into shock when Mad Season's "River of Deceit" came on the RADIO. The radio!! Who knows the last time I actually heard it on the radio. Then, I got home and my new Van Helsing poster was waiting for me. Along with my OBC Recording from Footloose The Musical. Starring Jennifer Laura Thompson, AKA the current G(a)linda in Wicked, and my lovely Jeremy Kushnier. Yay! It's pretty. *pets CD* I see Footloose icons in my future.

The only downer is that my cold seems to have gained some strength again. I'm getting a little tired of coughing.

This weekend was good too. I got the remaining pieces of my Elphaba costume on Friday. I tried it all on & it looks fabulous! I don't have enough green makeup to do a full trial run, but I did part of my face and it's going to look cool. I can't wait! I love Halloween!! Saturday I spent most of the day working on screencaps & icons, when I wasn't napping. Nothing exciting. Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] taylorea & I spent almost three hours at the Mall of America. We joined the Archiver's cult Saver's Club, which got us free tote bags! mmmmm...free bag... Yeah, I spent almost $100 in that store. But I got lots of good scrapbooking supplies. We're going to start scrapping in earnest on Sunday. I also got the rest of my costume for [livejournal.com profile] auroram's How to Host a Murder party. And many other odds & ends. I haven't been to the Sprall of America to shop in a LONG time! It was kinda fun.
