Aug. 9th, 2004 10:31 amI should just give in and admit that I cannot beat the insomnia. I think it would make my life easier if I just realized that I won't get any sleep 1-2 nights a week. Although, I'm really not sure that it's insomnia, per se. More like my body fighting back to reclaim its natural tendencies. If I could, I'd stay up all night and sleep during the day. That's my nature. But there's this job thing that I have to be at every morning, and it kind of screws everything up. Really, I can make it on 1 hour of sleep a night. sure...
So, anyhow, I slept like crap this weekend. And that seems to inspire whacked out dreams. Last night, I had the most crystal-clear dream.

Other than my sleep problems, it was a very quiet weekend. The Twins game yesterday was like the longest thing ever. 18 innings! We only made it through the 14th before we decided to take off. Bren & I were seriously crashing after injesting a whole bag of cotton candy earlier, and needed to get the heck out of our seats. Still, the game was a lot of fun. Mmmmmm...Dome dogs.
Now I'm just (im)patiently waiting by my mailbox for my ARC of
katiemacalister's You Slay Me. Those who know me from the book store know that she's one of my fave authors and I talk about her all the time. I came home from NYC to find I had won a contest of hers and that I'd be getting my very own ARC. YAY!! You know, me + free book = happy!
This week should go back to normal. Including, yes, icon-making. I owe some of you a bunch of stuff. I haven't forgotten and I swear, I'm going to work on them.
