HOLY FARK!

We're playing musical cubes again here in CubeLand. (for those playing along, this will be my 6th cube since I began working here) I knew about this, but kind of kept my head in the sand about it, because I have a lot of crap to move and didn't really want to think about it. My boss had given me the option of two different desks when she submitted the moves, and I chose the one on the North side of the building, because it's so much cooler than the South side. Other than that, I didn't really pay attention. They're moving us this weekend, so I wandered over to check out my new digs today. OMG! I had no idea! My cube is HUGE!!! I have a fairly spacious cube now, but it's nothing compared to the new one. Somehow, I got one of the manager's cubes. *confused* I must have looked confuzzled, because one of the supe's assured me that it's where I'm moving to. Holy fark! I get my own little table and everything.

Now, this is what camera phones are actually for.

This is where I am now. Compared to most of the other cubes, I actually have a lot of room. You can't really tell, but there is a window behind me. I still have no idea why my desk is turned away from the window instead of towards it. I like this cube, because it's fairly hidden in the corner and I don't get bothered too much. I hear one of the big wigs is taking it because of that very reason.

Here's my new digs. Look at that! All that desk space! And it's actually turned towards the window. I'm right by the aisle, but there's like four huge filing cabinets blocking me off from it. And they seem to be empty, so I don't think they're moving.

*new cube glee*

I'm so jealous! You should see the teeny space they have four cubicles crammed into here. It's claustrophobic. :-P

Believe me, I feel your pain. That's how it used to be in our old building. I was practically sitting on top of my CubeMate.

Wow. That really is a big cube. And with an awesome window! Lucky lucky.

Congrats on the new cubicle fun. Hopefully you get to stay in that one for a while. ;)

I know! Isn't it great?? I was really sad about losing my hidden cube, but not anymore. I'm really excited to move now!

I hope we don't move again for a while. I don't think we will.

I think being a little less hidden is a small price to pay for the upgrade. Hehe.

Well, six moves in... How long have you been there? That's a lot of magical cube-ism.

I've been here almost six years. So, I suppose it's not that bad. It's just that I have a ton of file folders and binders that I have to move everytime and that kind of sucks.

Once a year, yeah, that's not too bad. Though moving file folders and stuff would suck.

(I say as I'm on a break from packing up my room. I swear, I have more stuff when I leave every year than when I came here. Sigh.)
