Saturday night fun

Today was halfway crappy. I went down to Mankato with my parents to watch my brother's baseball team. I was cold and windy, they lost both games and DJ didn't play anyways. Plus, my back has been bothering me all week, so sitting on metal bleachers didn't help any. The night ended very well though, as my parents took us out to TimberLodge Steakhouse. I still feel incredibly full.

Even though I could barely feel my fingers, I did complete some of the drabbles from the drabble meme. Writing true drabbles is hard! So much description just gets thrown out the window because of the word count restraint. I don't like that much. And I'm not sure if I like these much. But here they are anyways.

"I know."

Bug looked up from the chest his hands were buried in and saw Jordan smirking. "What do you know?"

Her only answer was an artfully raised eyebrow.

"You’re delusional."

"There’s no reason to be ashamed, you know."

Bug glared at his tormenter. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Jordan simply shrugged and walked away.

"So what if Nigel and I are moving in together?" Bug yelled after her.

Jordan turned around. "I meant that I know about the stash of Trekkie porn fic in your desk."

With a quirk of her lips, she continued on her way.

Comments: I honestly have no idea where this one was going. I don't think I can really write either one of them.

Garret hesitated as he raised his hand. He gathered his courage and knocked on the door.

The DA opened it. He could tell from the look in her eyes that she’d been expecting someone else.

"Garret. What brings you by?"

"I wanted to give you this. As a peace offering." He held up a stuffed bunny, with a bow around its neck.

"Well...thank you." Her eyes flickered to a spot behind him.

Garret turned to see her ex-husband in the hallway.

"I guess I’ll be leaving."

"Wait."

They looked at each other. Garret shook his head and walked away.

Pairing: Bug/Nigel
Comments: Obviously, I got the inspiration for this while watching TV last night. This is screaming at me to be turned into an actual story.

Bug had no idea how Nigel had talked him into this. Bug did know he planned to kill him when they got home.

"Do you know what kind of environment these giant beetles were raised in?" he asked the man in charge. "They could carry any number of deadly bacteria if not cared for properly."

Nigel rolled his eyes. "Buggles! Just do it already!"

"But I could use these for research instead!"

Nigel gave him a menacing look. The other Fear Factor Couples contestants taunted him.

Bug stuffed the plateful of insects into his pockets and ran off the stage.


Hope you guys liked these! I still have two more drabbles that I should hopefully complete tomorrow.

I really do love "Deja Past." Nigel in a short-sleeved shirt always makes for a good episode! Plus, the scene of Jordan singing "Got to Be Real" and dancing through the crypt is one of my favorite show openings ever. Ack! I can't wait for the new ep tomorrow!

I need shiny kilt Steve icons like yesterday. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. :p

They're all wonderful, but mine wins. I love the vision of Bug running off with the Fear Factor challenge instead of eating it. Hehehehe. That's just great!

(I do rather like Meg's drabble, as well. Poor Bug, letting Jordan get the best of him.)

Deja Past was good. I love the Woody/Devan stuff. It's SO MUCH BETTER than Woody/Jordan. (I am such a closeted Devan fan. Don't tell.)

And Jordan singing and dancing is hilarious. Aaah, it made me laugh and giggle so much. I think all the morgue employees need to sing and dance like that.

Thanks! While watching TBJ last night, one of those Fear Factor commercials came on. My brain: "Ugh! How can people eat those bugs? Bug would try to save the bugs!" And there it was born.

When I first started thinking about it, I wasn't sure how they'd be able to get past the first challenge. Because, I lurve the boys and all, but physical dynamos they are not. But then I realized that Nigel's super-spy ninja skills would kick in and they'd breeze right through it.

See, it's begging for a whole story, isn't it?

It is! I think you should write B/N Fear Factor fic. You know you waaaant tooooo.....
