Oh, and something's been bothering me since last night. Why didn't anyone mention calling Bug's parents? I mean, you would think they'd want to be there...

Do Bug's parents live in the states, though? Maybe they called and they couldn't make it?

(Not to mention the fact that having Bug's folks there would have taken away from the Nigel goodness.)

Yep, they're in the States. He's talked about how life was after they moved there. And when he called his mom on her birthday in "Bombs Away," it was a 773 (I think) area code. Not international.

Good to know, for when I edit this fic with Bug's mom in it. Though I don't know if I directly mention his mother visiting from Liverpool. Okay, flipping through the fic, I do. I'll have to find out where they really live and fix that. (Or, you know, add in a one-liner about them having moved back or some other BS. ;))

And hey, I can recite most of the last B/N scene from last night, so it's okay. It's not an obsession, so much as a lovely, lovely hobby.

See, I haven't seen that episode about the two jobs. And they did mention the golf tournament. He won it when he was 15. And he did go to Oxford - they say that several times.

I think they are tormenting us. Maybe I'll just have his mother be from Liverpool. Since 879 doesn't exist, after all, there's no reason NOT to.

(Though if it was 773, I'd be excited - that's a Chicago area code. I know THAT from a carpet commerical! Oh, how sad I am.

The nice thing with having episodes on DVD is that you can pop them in and check facts. Meg is right - he does say area code 879. But it still was not an international call. Unless it's Canada??

That's interesting, then. I wonder how he could have won the country club thing at 15 (which he said he did in the episode where Jordan's date dies) and still have his dad working two jobs and his fingers to the bone. I mean, if he's working two jobs, we have to assume he didn't have the cash to be in a country club... So confusing!

Messing with my canon, I tell you. Or rather, having a messy canon. Either way. Grr. Grrrr.
