Christmas has gone pretty well. The usual chaos and arguments abounded, but I managed not to fight with my uncle, so it was all good. I feel like I've eaten my entire body weight, yet I could still eat a cabbage roll or two. My crazy, zealot grandma was as weird as ever last night. Something about how God told her watching too much TV sends you in unbelief, which is why she can't go to her church anymore because her pastor is on TV screens every other week, because it makes it hard for her to distinguish between what's real and what's not. *shakes head* I don't understand either. My brother is the only member of my family who is religious and even he doesn't get what she's ever talking about. She also cleaned out her kitchen and regifted all her stuff to people. Very odd.

We don't give a lot of gifts in my family. On my mom's side, we pick names, so everyone only gets one gift. And my siblings & I decided not to give gifts to each other since I'm the only one who has any money. They'd feel bad if I got them nice gifts and they couldn't do it in return. So, my gift list for this year is:

- Wicked tickets for Toronto and Chicago
- CD player & new speakers for my car, which is partly also a "thanks for watching our dogs" present
- Some random Hallmark ornaments, which did not include the "I'm Melting" Wizard of Oz ornament and that makes me sad
- Wolverine: Weapon X by Mark Cerasini, Wicked by Gregory Maguire and The Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby (books are good!)
- $35 gift card to Target
- $30 gift card to Best Buy
- $45 in cash
- ETA: How could I forget?? Six months of paid lj membership

The cash/gift cards will be used to buy some combination of the following: the Nirvana box set, the Star Wars trilogy on DVD, Kids in the Hall seasons 1 & 2.

My parents like their new DVD player, although I have to give them lessons on how to use it. We're going to a friend of the family's party tomorrow, so I'll be at their house for a while to take a crack at showing them the remote.

And that's about it. Hope you've all had a lovely holiday! Love you all!
