Really?? I'm not all that attached to the original or antyhing, so I suppose it'll be pretty cool.

The fact that his right hand is black on the poster is freaking me out though. I just it's just the shading, but still.

I'm all about Tim Burton films, so even if I'm a hardcore fan of the original (which wasn't that original because it strayed from the book), I know I won't be disappointed.

I have been so looking forward to it since it was announced.
I am partial to the first one, and when I heard of Tim Burton re-doing it, I thought, "Well, it's Burton... love him and his style." Then when I heard Johnny was attached, I thought, "Well, it's Johnny... LOVE me some Johnny."

Johnny, when interviewed, said that he wasn't sure if Burton wanted it to be a musical or not but was totally up to the challenge of singing if the film went that way.

but then again, when there was talk of casting marilyn manson, i was more interested.

Since I love the book, but hate the original movie (ducks), and I love both Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, I am all about this movie. If anyone can pull off the both childlike and more sinister aspects of the Willy Wonka character, it's Johnny. I just hope whatever kid they get isn't all annoying like the first one.
