Sep. 1st, 2006 02:18 pmMy Strep test came back negative today, but my doctor felt so bad for me (in fact, he was rather appalled by how bad my throat/tonsils looked) that he gave me the Amoxicillin prescription anyways. If I don't start to feel better in a couple days, I probably have Mono. *sigh* Fuckin A.
My visit was great though. I did my paperwork, sat down for about 30 secs before the nurse called me back, she did the vitals and swabbed my throat, she didn't even get the door closed behind her before the doctor walked in, he looked at me, got my test results, sent me off with my script. Grand total: 20 mins. Awesome!
It HURTS to swallow, so I keep waking myself up. I can't eat anything. I finally managed to down an Icee this afternoon. I might try some soup broth after I gargle some salt water.
I am a sweaty, icky mess and I still got hit on at the pharmacy. Really, dude? Does it fucking look like I want to talk to you??
I am still going to The Fair tomorrow, throat be damned! Just maybe we'll go later than we had planned. I can't see myself making it through the entire day. I'll let everyone know. I emailed Sven yesterday and he said he'd look for me. *squee* Although he also jinxed the whole day by saying that if the weather gets severe, he has to go back to the station. Dammnit! Maybe I can work that to my advantage though. He would owe me a birthday photo then, wouldn't he? I conveniently work right down the block from the station...*hmmmmmm*
My mom seriously does not want me to come up to the cabin, because she doesn't want what I've got. Plus, if I have to stay inside all weekend, might as well do that at home. I can work on teaching myself SQL, I suppose.
Oh! My boss is working on getting me a laptop for work. So if something like this happens again, I can still work from home. Because I guess the place falls apart if I'm not there. I can feel the chains getting tighter already.
Bought my ticket to the Cathouse 20th anniversary show! Whoo-hoo!!
