Could this day drag on any longer?!? I suppose I could just leave, since there isn't really anyone else around anyways. But then something completely urgent would come in and I'd get yelled at for missing it.
I'm all moved into my new digs in Cubeland. It's pretty nice. I have lots of room to move around and I still have a nice view of the pond. The best part is that there's this support pole right by my cube opening. So when I open the door to my cabinet, I am completely blocked off. No one can see me! Yay! I'm just going to pretend that I'm invisible and no one will bother me.
I was at Jess's place for 3 1/2 hours last night, for book group and some general yammering. It was nice to spend time with her, since I never see her anymore. We're both getting very stoked for our New York trip! I've even gotten her to agree to join in on my Hugh stalking. Only two months and three days to wait!
Oh, and if anyone is looking for a good summer book to read, I'd recommend Clean Cut by Theresa Monsour because 1) I liked it and 2) She's my 2nd cousin. If you like crime thriller type stuff (think John Sanford), this is for you. And if your tastes lean towards something a little more erotic, then try Blood of the Rose by Anya Bast, aka
cyberwuzzle. Sex and vampires, what could be better?
I think that's about it. I have decided not to go up North (there's some Minnesota-speak for ya) for the weekend since it's supposed to rain. Why sit inside and stare at my parents when I could get some work done at home? So, I'll be spending quite a lot of my weekend sitting on my ass in front of the computer. New icons, a fixed mood theme and an overhaul of my website are all on the agenda. I'm also going to see Troy on Sunday (finally!) and there seems to be a barbeque/movie marathon in the works for Monday. Not too shabby!
And in seven days and one hour, I'll be landing at LAX! Whee!!
