Remember me? I used to post here. Yeah, I know. But OE is pretty much over now and I have actual free time again. It's a weird thing.

I got a Kindle for Xmess! I'm more in love with it than I thought I would be. It's named Melody (for Melody Pond, yo) and it's got a sweet cover. And it's chock full of all kinds of things that I love to read, because I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on books already. Like $300+. Sheesh.

I've been trying to pick my stitching project back up and that's sort of been successful. I should remember to take an update photo tonight. Although it still doesn't actually look like anything...

Sherlock, you guys. Best thing ever on TV or best thing EVAR on TV? That Cumberbatch fella is headed for great things. (like the Star Trek movie!!)

My hands are so cold at my desk that I can barely get my phone to respond. Maybe I need to get a pair of those capacitive touch gloves just to wear at work? That's kind of sad.

Six weeks from now we'll be in New Orleans and getting ready to sail away on The Rock Boat. I'm super excited about it! I really should work on adding more stuff to my TRB XII playlist. Of course, then I would have to stop listening to podcasts long enough to listen to some music.

Speaking of that, watching the footage of the capsized cruise ship in Italy makes me sad and ridiculously angry.

And thus concludes the Readers Digest of Things That are currently going on in my life.

This is the first time we've seen the sun in five days. The weather was pretty much miserable for our cruise. And it's like 32 degrees here in Tampa right now. Brrrr. But we're still having the best time ever! And we won the Amazing Cozumel Race, even in the wind & rain!

I'm starving. There is no food here. It is -14 outside. Why can't I just walk from my bedroom to a full breakfast buffet anymore??

So you may have heard that I'm leaving on vacation. ;) I just finished syncing my iPod one last time and I'm getting ready to pack up Crow T. Laptop for the trip. We will have internet access when we get to Miami tonight, but we'll probably be chittering like a pack of girls (umm...because we are) so I don't know if I'll be online, other than to call my brother for his birthday. So expect mostly radio silence until next Thursday. Unless, of course, if something so awesome happens that I decided to pay for the text to Twitter about it. I wouldn't put that past me. ;)

My shoe dilemma has been solved! I stopped by Payless Shoes before work today and found exactly what I was looking for. I got a pair of black flat sandals that will look fantastic with my hawt formal dress and I'll also be able to wear them with plenty of other things I'm bringing. And I also got a cute pair of canvas slings that will be perfect for the beach and the Lido deck. The best part was that it was $30 for both pairs, so if they get ruined by the water or chlorine or whatever, no big deal.

I should probably start making an official packing list or something...
