Today I am giving myself a crash course in Great Big Sea before I see them on Saturday. That combined with this weekend's overdose of Gaelic Storm and...well, I don't think I've ever quite wanted a drink more than I do right now. Silly Irish folks and their awesome drinking songs!

I elect that we all get an extra day off for Daylight Savings weekend. This morning HURT.

I had my monthly meeting with my boss today. We spent about 5 minutes talking about work and 25 talking about going out to bars and my upcoming trips out of town. I take that as a sign that she's not too worried about my work performance. =) I also scored getting the whole week off for 4th of July. Sweet!

I remembered the 12 of 12 today, but my hair looks like shit. So don't expect too many photos of me.

Only 55 minutes left. I hope I can make it!

I love that you like Gaelic Storm. I have ALL their CDs. They are so kickass live although I haven't seen them in a few years. *pout* I'm just glad they've stuck with the same fiddle player for longer than one album.

There's a pub in Santa Monica owned by the lead singer (Patrick) and another member of the group, I think. I've always wanted to go there. I doubt since they're always touring any of them would be there, but it's still be nice to visit. :)

I just say we get the day off... like a paid holiday... even if it's on a weekend... we should get the corresponding Friday or Monday for it.

I've seen Gaelic Storm three times now and I just adore them! They're coming back in August for the Irish Fair and I'm already looking forward to it.

They're actually losing Ellery (the fiddle player) at the end of the month because she's pregnant. They had a new chick playing with her at the show on Sat. It's unclear whether or not Ellery will be back.

You should totally do the 12 of 12! It's fun, even when your day is boring. Just be sure to post the link over at Chad's blog (http://chaddarnell.typepad.com/runchadrun2/).

I've seen your 12 of 12 on your MySpace... and I didn't realize at the time that it was specifically for the 12th of every month, so last week I took some pics of my day... but never posted them. I have my camera with me. I'll see what comes up. It's so hard deciding on just 12 though. :P

So far I know we are going to the parade (where the very Irish Sven Sundgaard is the Grand Marshall), then hanging out at the Landmark center, then probably dinner at a place yet to be determined, then the show and then closing the night at either the Dubliner or the Liffy.
