This week's road trip was one of the best of my life!! I got to see my girls, meet some rock stars, go to Canada again, drink heavily and spend half my life in the car.

It all started on Thursday morning. Very early Thursday morning. I left my place at 5:30am to drive to Chicago and meet

xiolablux before driving on to Detroit to see the Peppermint Creeps. I had a long conversaton with

rockerlee around 7am. We were trying to keep each other awake while we were on the road. Driving in the morning wasn't bad, but it got worse. It got really hot and the road construction on I-90 was horrendous. I was very happy to get to Julee's and her air conditioned car.

The drive to Detroit was fine, just really long. We got to Ann's house about an hour and a half later than we had planned. It was hot! And Ann's apartment wasn't much better. But it was good to see my very blonde Ann. Heather was there too and we all had a yummy homemade lasagna dinner. With garlic bread! Mmmmmmmm

While eating dinner, there were weather reports breaking into the TV show we were watching. Seems that there was tornado in the next county over and it was heading our way. Everyone was getting a little freaked out. Heather decided to go home instead of the show since she had an early morning meeting. The rest of us started to get ready for the show. And I got to see Ann naked.

Heather called a little while later. Her car had broken down & she was waiting in the rain for the tow truck. Ann went to pick her up while Julee and I sat in the sweltering apartment. It was nicer outside, so we started pacing around outside Ann's door. Julee was getting very antsy that we would miss the show. Lee called us from the club to tell us that there were still two bands to play before the Creeps, but Julee was still freaking out. Ann & Heather got back eventually and Julee pretty much pulled us out to the car to leave for the IROCK.

Ann knows the club owners, so we walked in with her. Traci Michaelz saw us come in and stormed over to me. He made sure that I had gotten in okay and I got a big hug. Nine was sitting at the bar, Julee and I went to say hi and get drinks. We looked around for Lee and Lisa (

themirrorlies), but didn't see them at first. Eddie Electra saw me at the bar and came over. He gave me a huge hug and thanked me for driving all that way. He talked to Julee for a while and I looked around for Lee & Lisa some more. I finally saw them over at the other bar, which doubled as the merch table. They were pretty well far along the drunken path and continued to drink. They had bottles of Jager & Goldschlager hidden behind the bar and I helped get rid of the Goldschlager.

Swill started to play soon after we arrived. I had seen them in KC with the Creeps last weekend and I enjoyed seeing them again. The KC show was a lot more visually stimulating, but this show was good too. Too bad that no one was paying attention. We had a crowd of myself, Lee, Lisa, Julee, Ann, Allison, the Creeps, their manager and other various males who were attracted by all the girls standing around hanging out by the merch bar. This included scary purple pants man. Shiny purple spandex pants are NEVER the correct fashion choice.

The Creeps are a riot! They are all very sweet and took plenty of time to talk to us. Lee & Lisa are super fun too! I'm so glad that we got to hang out with them. I continued to drink and got pretty happy myself, but I could never catch up to Lee, Lisa & especially Allison. She & Ann got into a little altercation due to some flying water, but everything turned out okay.

The Creeps finally got on stage and we all gathered around the front. I just love watching these guys live! It's so entertaining!! There's lots of pink, day-glo and funny facial expressions. Even behind the drum kit, Traci is completely animated! If you don't know the Creeps, their music is very happy and extremely pop rock. Until you listen to the lyrics. Most of the songs sound something like "You stupid whore, you're crazy." It's great stuff!! Luckily I wasn't as drunk as I was at the KC show, so I could actually take plenty of photos this time. As soon as I can get them developed, I'll post them.

During the encore, Stevie Ford got up on stage and sang "Live Wire" with the Creeps. Lisa turned to me and said "we should go on stage!" She grabbed me & Allison and we climbed on stage. I don't think I made too much of an ass out of myself. I think both Lee & Julee got photos of us up there. We danced for a little while, then went to get off the stage. While walking down the stairs, I think I missed one and managed to fall down the rest of them to the floor. Yeah, classy. It was awful that I fell not because I was drunk, but because I'm a klutzy moron. Ann had walked around the corner of the stage at the exact moment I fell, so she caught the whole thing. Oh goody. I may never hear the end of it!

After the show, we continued to drink and hang out. Eddie came over to Ann, Julee & I and we had the MOST interesting conversation. Too bad it can't be repeated here. We bought some merch, took a few photos and Julee saved Ann from scary purple pants man.

Eddie & Traci wanted us to go to one of the bouncer's houses to hang out, but Ann was tired and wanted to go home. After hearing this, Eddie & Traci decided to take matters into their own hands and convince her to come along. They stalked off across the bar screaming "Ann! Annnnnnnn!!" She heard them and hid for a while in the back room. She popped out and they chased her into the ladies room. Traci came back out and said that Ann had won since he couldn't handle all of the wiener posters in the bathroom. Wieners and Nelson managed to scare Traci Michaelz away! Eddie stayed in the bathroom while Ann cowered in a stall and eventually she gave in.

We finally went outside and got in the car to wait for everyone to go to this guy's house. Ann decided that the best place to wait would be on the sidewalk. In Julee's car. Thankfully, she didn't run anyone over, but I think she was tempted. Kari kept coming over to talk to us. Ann drove on and off the sidewalk several times. We were getting tired and it was very apparent that the band wasn't leaving any time soon. We decided not to go to the party and instead go back to Ann's. Julee went to say goodbye to the Creeps and we exchanged lots of hugs with the girls. We finally got back to Ann's and had a wonderful night's sleep in the most comfortable bed in the world.

I adore those guys...and I just hope they're willing to hang out with me again lol Get this...this is a quote...Traci said "you girls (meaning me and Allison) are too wild for us!" TOO WILD FOR THEM!!! Can you believe that???

I'm kicking myself for not hitting record on my digital camera to at least get the sound because it was hysterical. However if you heard bits and pieces of it you heard most of it because he pretty much just kept reapeating the same thing over and over which is what made it so funny.

Eddie and Kari seemed pretty wasted themselves. Hell Kari changed his clothes in the middle of the street so I wouldn't worry about it too much. At least half the Creeps won't remember.

I'm pretty sure Eddie was full-on wasted. Did you hear the conversation he had with Allison when she and I were in the car??? OMG Falling on the floor HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!!

Why don't we move this conversation into our super secret location so we don't say something publicly that we maybe shouldn't.

I'm mad I didn't watch Swill at all. It just never occured to me to get up to watch them. I think I was too busy trying to de-stress.
