1. Your favourite song with the name of a city in the title or text.
"Chicago" - Blackboard Jungle
2. A song you've listened to repeatedly when you were depressed at some point in your life.
"Black" by Pearl Jam if I want to stay depressed, "Release" by Pearl Jam if I want to feel better.
3. Ever bought an entire album just for one song and winded up disliking everything but that song? Gimme that song.
I have a bunch of CDs I could pick for this...I'll go with You'd Prefer an Astronaut by Hum. "Stars" = good, everything else = bad.
4. A song whose lyrics you thought you knew in the past, but about which you later learned you were incorrect.
ummmmm...I've always been a pretty big stickler for knowing the correct lyrics for songs. Although I do still always mess up a few lines of "Cities in Dust."
5. Your least favorite song on one of your favorite albums of all time.
"Maid in Wonderland" on Faster Pussycat's Whipped!. LOVE the CD. DESPISE that song. Actually, I'm not fond of "Madame Ruby's Love Boutique" either.
6. A song you like by someone you find physically unattractive or otherwise repellent.
"No More Tears" by Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy is just NOT for me.
7. Your favorite song that has expletives in it that's not by Liz Phair.
"Fuck Off and Die" by Peppermint Creeps, followed closely by "Damn It Feels Good to be a Gangster" from Office Space and Betty Blowtorch's "I Wish You'd Die."
8. A song that sounds as if it's by someone British but isn't.
Uhhhhh? I have no idea.
9. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to finally locate a copy of.
"Thinking of You" by Sa-Fire. Cheesy 80's ballad.
10. A song that reminds you of spring but doesn't mention spring at all.
"Big Western Sky" by Kik Tracee.
11. A song that sounds to you like being happy feels.
"Hey Ya!" by OutKast.
12. Your favorite song from a non-soundtrack compilation album.
"Crazy Mary" by Pearl Jam or Taime's "Misty Mountain Hop."
13. A song from your past that would be considered politically incorrect now (and possibly was then).
Aren't most of those hair band songs about sex incorrect now? Let's say "Slipped Her the Big One" by Danger Danger.
15. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise hate..
"Feel it Boy" by Beenie Man.
16. A song by a band (whose members actually play instruments) that features three or more female members.
Anything by Betty Blowtorch, of course!
17. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to.
"You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone. I wore my record out playing it over and over.
18. A song you've been mocked by friends for liking.
Pretty much everything I listen to...I'll choose "Rice Suave" by Gerardo. Shut up. I like it. You can go with the afore mentioned Debbie Boone too, because my father still teases me about it.
19. A really good cover version you think no one else has heard.
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Me First & the Gimme Gimmes.
20. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise difficult situation.
"Another Day" from Rent and Michelle Branch's "Goodbye to You."
