Not only did they win the World Series, but they swept the series AND shut out the Cards in Game 4. Can't complain about that! I know Mientkiewicz hated it when it he was traded, but I bet he's thanking his lucky stars now.

Still, I miss hockey more than anything right now.

i can't stand basketball, i'm watching internation league hockey and the Hartford Wolfpack which is the rangers farm team.

I'm not a big basketball fan, but Garnett & Sprewell can draw me in sometimes.

It's so weird that we don't get any other hockey coverage. I mean, hello??? This is Minnesota. The State of Hockey! I'm betting they'll televise some high school games once they start, as that's big time 'round here.

I don't watch sports, ever, but even I'm feeling the lack of hockey. I mean, I live in Detroit for pete's sake, self-proclaimed hockeytown. Nobody around here knows what to do with themselves.

I can imagine. We were without pro hockey for so many years that I think people aren't quite as insane about it as they could be. Plus, the Vikings are doing good, so people have football to watch.
